Pickerington, Ohio

Pickeringtonthe Violet capital of Ohiois located just east of the Franklin county line in Fairfield County's Violet Township, named for the violets found blooming in the area. Originally inhabited by Wyandotte, Shawnee, and Mingo Native American tribes, Pickerington was incorporated in 1808. The area is rich with native culture including artifacts and burial mounds.
